1. Decide what smoothie to make
You’d have to choose a particular recipe based on what you’d love to make. Do you want to lose weight? or maybe you’re on a diet Or maybe you looking to add more greens in your diet, protein after a workout, or simply looking to make a delicious dessert recipe or a tasty snack? This is to help you decide whats best for you at the time
2. Add Liquid to Blender
First, add around 1 to 2 cups of liquid into your blender. Follow what your smoothie recipe calls for, but keep a few things in mind.
Note that the amount of liquid will determine if smoothie will be watery or not, depending on how you’d love it. Liquids recommended for making healthy smoothies include: water (filtered or real spring water), almond milk, coconut milk/water, raw milk, organic fruit juices, fresh squeezed or pressed juice, tea, and kefir (from milk or coconut water).
3. Need a base?
Usually, a base acts to give your smoothie a creamy texture. Example of some of those include, Bananas, Mango, peach, pear, apple will go a long way. Bananas are the best in most cases as they provide a creamy taste. Coconut mean, nut butter, yogurt, frozen fruit, ice, avocado, seed gel. Most people prefer watermelon and pineapple but these water rich fruits don’t give you that creamy taste.
4. Try Fruits/Vegetables
After the base is settled, be sure to add some fruits or vegetables. You might want to ask why? this is to enrich your smoothie. Get really comfortable and try out new fruits and vegetables here, you never know what might work.
